I’ve always loved working outdoors and running heavy equipment. My small business, a Girl and her Tractor, grew out of that lifelong enjoyment of dirt work and hands-on projects.
That interest started in my childhood in Athens, GA, watching crews clear land, trench, and lay pipeline through the woods behind our home in west Athens. When I came home from school I'd look forward to running down to a hill overlooking the machines and watched as long as I could.
I was raised by parents who made hard work feel rewarding. From long days in the family garden to learning tools and basic vehicle repair in the garage, I developed an appreciation for physical, practical work.
As an adult, I kept finding my way back to the dirt, whether through gardening or helping my parents with their own grading projects. After helping a friend build out her backyard garden, the idea for a business took shape. In 2009, a Girl and her Tractor was launched.

Depending on the scope of your project, local ordinances may require permits prior to beginning work. I can assist with obtaining necessary permits if needed!
Prior to beginning any ground-engaging project I will contact Georgia 811 for a locate request. This is a free service provided by utility companies to mark buried service lines.
